Whether you’re still in the research phase or ready to book, consider this your insider’s guide to working with us.
Why Couples Choose Orama Productions

The Booking Process: 6 Steps from First Contact to Your Wedding Day
Here’s exactly what happens after you reach out to Orama Productions. We’ve refined this process over 25 years to make it as smooth and stress-free as possible for couples.
Step 1: You Get in Touch
Everything starts with a simple message or phone call. You can reach us through the contact form at oramaproductions.net/contact, by phone at (717) 669-9767, or by email at Oramaproductions1@gmail.com. We typically respond within 24 hours — often the same day. In your first message, just tell us your wedding date, venue (if you have one), and roughly how many guests you’re expecting. That’s all we need to get started. If your date is available, we’ll move straight to Step 2.

Step 2: Your Consultation
This is where things get personal. Joey will connect with you for a consultation — a real conversation about your wedding vision, not a generic questionnaire. We want to understand your musical tastes, the vibe you’re going for (intimate and romantic? high-energy party? elegant and formal?), your must-play songs, your absolute do-not-play list, and any special moments you’ve envisioned — a surprise song, a specific first dance story, a meaningful moment you want announced in a particular way. The consultation also covers logistics: your venue, the event timeline, the number of guests, whether you need ceremony sound, and which add-ons you’re considering (photo booth, uplighting, cold sparks, etc.). By the end, we have everything we need to build your custom package.
Step 3: Your Custom Package
After the consultation, we put together a package tailored specifically to you — not a one-size-fits-all tier from a laminated menu. Your package reflects your event length, your venue’s specific requirements, the services you’ve chosen, and your budget. Wedding DJ packages start at $1,999 and go up based on add-ons and event length. We’ll walk you through what’s included line by line so there are no surprises later. Common add-ons include: photo booth rental (360, Mirror, Kiosk, or Digital Drop-off), uplighting in custom colors, cold sparks for your grand entrance or first dance, Dancing on Clouds dry-ice effect, marquee letters, a personalized monogram, and large sound system for big venues.
Step 4: Contract & Deposit
Once you’re happy with the package, we send over a contract that spells out everything in writing — services included, event date, start and end times, deposit amount, and cancellation terms. You review it, ask any questions, and when you’re ready, sign and send your deposit to officially lock in your date. We accept payment via PayPal and Venmo for your convenience. Your date is not secured until the deposit is received — and Lancaster wedding Saturdays in peak season (May–June and September–October) book fast, often 12–18 months in advance. Once that deposit is in, your date is yours.
Step 5: Finalizing the Details
In the weeks leading up to your wedding, we reconnect to finalize everything. This is where the real magic happens: your custom playlist takes shape, your timeline gets locked down, and every detail is confirmed. We’ll go through your processional and recessional songs, your cocktail hour vibe, your first dance, parent dances, cake cutting song, last dance, and any announcements or introductions you want. We coordinate directly with your venue and your other vendors — caterer, photographer, planner — so everyone’s on the same page for the day. Nothing catches us off guard because we’ve already thought through every scenario.
Step 6: Your Wedding Day
We arrive early. Setup happens before any guests arrive so you never see us hustling with cables and speakers in the background of your cocktail hour photos. Joey serves as both your DJ and your MC for the reception — he handles all the announcements, introductions, and crowd energy so your family doesn’t have to worry about coordinating a thing. When the last song plays and your guests are glowing from a night of dancing, we handle all the teardown quietly and efficiently. Your only job is to enjoy every moment of your wedding day.

The Photo Booth Options in Detail
Orama Productions offers four distinct photo booth experiences — each suited to different events, guest counts, and aesthetics. Here’s what to know about each one so you can choose what’s right for your wedding.
The 360 Photo Booth
The 360 booth is the modern crowd-pleaser. Guests step onto a spinning platform while an HD camera on an arm circles them, capturing a slow-motion video moment from every angle. With studio lighting, custom music, digital props, filters, and real-time QR code sharing, it creates the kind of content your guests will be posting all week. Requires a 12×12 ft space and includes a dedicated attendant. Best for: couples who want high shareable content and a centerpiece that guests gather around all night.
The Mirror Photo Booth
The 55-inch full-length touchscreen mirror is Orama’s most elegant option — perfect for formal receptions, upscale venues, or couples who want something that looks beautiful in the room. Guests walk up to their own reflection and it transforms into a photo experience: themed animations, customized photo templates, and unlimited 4×6 or 2×6 prints for guests to take home. Optional red carpet and velvet rope setup makes it a true VIP experience. Includes a friendly attendant and private online gallery for the couple.
The Photo Booth Kiosk
The kiosk is the classic, versatile choice — a professional booth that works seamlessly in any venue layout. Includes unlimited visits, a friendly attendant, customized artwork, social media and email sharing, digital copies of every photo, and a box of props. Optional 4×6 or 2×6 physical prints available. Best for: couples who want a tried-and-true photo booth experience that appeals to guests of all ages.
The Digital Drop-off Booth
The Digital Drop-off is the self-service, budget-friendly option starting at $500 for a 24-hour rental. Guests operate it themselves — choosing a still photo, animated GIF, or Boomerang and picking digital props — and share instantly by email, text, QR code, or AirDrop. No attendant needed, requires just a 5×5 ft space and Wi-Fi. Best for: couples who want the photo booth experience at a lower price point, or for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, or smaller events before the wedding.

Frequently Asked Questions About Booking Orama Productions
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible — ideally 12 to 18 months out for peak-season dates (May, June, September, October Saturdays). We regularly have couples reach out 14–16 months before their wedding. If your date is only a few months away, it’s still worth reaching out — we may have availability, and sometimes cancellations open up dates unexpectedly.
Do you travel outside Lancaster County?
Yes. We regularly serve York, Harrisburg, Hershey, Chester County, Dauphin County, and the surrounding Central Pennsylvania region. Travel fees may apply for venues outside our core service area — ask us when you reach out and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Can we choose our own songs?
Absolutely — that’s the whole point of the consultation. We build your playlist from your requests, your preferred genres, your must-plays, and your do-not-plays. Joey will also bring 25+ years of experience to suggest songs you might love that you hadn’t thought of, especially for cocktail hour and the transition into the dance set. You’re never handed a generic playlist.
What happens if something goes wrong with the equipment?
We come prepared for contingencies. Joey travels with backup equipment for critical components. In 25+ years of events, we have never left a client without music. This is one of the real advantages of booking an experienced professional over a newer vendor.
Do you offer a DJ + photo booth bundle?
Yes, and it’s one of our most popular options. Bundling your DJ services and photo booth with Orama Productions simplifies your vendor coordination, reduces your setup footprint at the venue, and usually saves money compared to booking separately. Ask about bundle pricing when you contact us.
What is your payment process?
We require a deposit to secure your date — the deposit amount is specified in your contract. The balance is due before or on the day of the event. We accept PayPal and Venmo for your convenience.
Can we meet Joey before booking?
Yes — and we encourage it. The consultation is an opportunity to get to know each other before any commitment is made. Chemistry between a couple and their DJ matters. You want someone who listens, gets your vision, and communicates clearly. The consultation is how you know whether we’re the right fit.
